Greater Amman Municipality Partners With TRACCS To Organize First Corporate Social Responsibility Forum In Jordan
Under the patronage of Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan, the Greater Amman Municipality and TRACCS Jordan will hold a Corporate Social Responsibility Forum February 28-March 1, 2007, under the theme Duty or a Way of Life.
In a Jordan and world undergoing enormous transformation, and as we address the inevitable challenges of change, one of the most hopeful human constants is our inherent need for inquiry and dialog. So if to know is to keep asking, then the upcoming GAM Corporate Social Responsibility Forum is sure to be packed with a huge diversity of questions enabling learning and choice.
On February 28th and March 1st, the Hussein Cultural Center in Ras Al Ain hosts the CSR Forum asking: duty or a way of life? The objective is to encourage new dialogs and debates towards positive, progressive thinking with impact, for healthier communities in mind, body, soul and economies. Initiated by GAM & TRACCS, the forum engages a select group of over 30 business leaders, civil society, government representatives, members of the media, alterpreneurs, and over 150 participants in conversations tackling old and new challenges, looking at social innovation for a better life.
With this Forum, GAM aims to create a safe and open environment for important questions to be asked towards critical social issues, and the new types of partnerships required to inspire and lead for change. The Forum puts humanity at the forefront and aims to look into new ways to learn and new ways to think, fuelling future actions with goals, accountability, passion and sustainable commitment.
On March 1st, GAM will close the Forum with a pitch session, inviting relevant initiatives, programs and projects to be presented to a panel of stakeholders. The 15 minute pitches include presentations and a moderated Q&A with the objective of gauging interest from corporates and supporting entities towards engaging in sustainable, effective change opportunities within our society.
