TRACCS & Prince Sultan University Organize “Driver’s Seat” Workshop To Educate Students On Public Relations
Riyadh – January 3 – TRACCS, one of the largest Public Relations networks in the MENA region selected Prince Sultan University (PSU) to launch its Strategic Communications Outreach Program which aims at creating awareness among the educational sector on the role of public relations as a strategic tool for private and public sector companies and organizations and NGOs. The workshop which was led by TRACCS CEO, Mohamed Al Ayed tackled four key issues which included getting a deeper look in the concept and practice of public relations, developing and enhancing communications skills, discovering and unleashing creative energy as well as getting to know some successful success stories. More than 40 students took part in the workshop in addition to members of the PSU faculty. “Our commitment to promoting public relations is very long-term and the educational institutions are the ideal partner for to achieve this objective,” said Al Ayed. “We aim to reinforce our relations with the educational sector by organizing similar events and extend this program to cover other markets across the region.” The workshop, which was organized and run using a non-conventional approach, gave the students an opportunity to assume the role of public relations practitioners to develop strategies and come up with key initiatives and programs, all in an interactive and informal setting inspiring discussion and dialogue. Strategic Communications Outreach Program is one of the initiatives by TRACCS to fulfill its commitment to building the public relations industry in the region, and fostering and nurturing local talent across different markets. The TRACCS regional network has played a pivotal role in advancing and promoting the public relations industry by continuously developing new tools to enhance the quality of service, in addition to conceiving and administering a series of seminars, conferences and workshops across the region.
