Mohamed A. Al Ayed is a pioneer in developing the practice of public relations in Saudi Arabia and across the Middle East and has established himself as the world’s leading Gulf Arab public relations practitioner. 

An American-educated Saudi holding an honors degree in Modern Languages, he began his career as a public relations officer for Saudi Arabian Marketing and Refining Company (SAMAREC - now Saudi Aramco), subsequently joining Saudi Arabia’s first dedicated public relations company as a media-relations officer and account executive, rising quickly to become Group Accounts Director and Deputy Managing Director.

In 1997 he launched Saudi Creative Communications Services (SACCS) with Haroon Sugich and Sarah Al Ayed and the new company quickly became the market leader in Saudi Arabia, the region’s largest economy. In 2001 SACCS went regional with the launch of Trans-Arabian Creative Communications (TRACCS) and Mohamed assumed the role of President and CEO.

He has worked tirelessly to build a regional public relations industry with local talent, introducing innovative and proprietary tools, educating young people, training business and political leaders and participating in regional and international conferences. To expand the TRACCS communications platform, Mohamed launched Arab Conferences Company (ARC), to organize major conference to introduce and focus on key issues for the region as they relate to Gulf Arabs.

A strong proponent of corporate social responsibility in the Middle East, Mohamed has been instrumental in organizing the first conferences on CSR in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Jordan and in implementing CSR programs for clients across the region, one of which was awarded the Campaign Middle East Award for Best Public Relations program in the Middle East for 2005.
